And her daughter had a daughter who grew up to be my Mother.

All the while my Father dreamt of ways that he could cross the sea,

And found a way to Oklahoma and his wife. Then they made me.

See I grew up as equal parts of one that stays and one that goes

So which life serves a young-man better? There’s no way to really know.

But what I understand about the world and my Dad’s legacy

Is that you’ll never truly understand a place you never see.

I’m not that good at being comfortable and keeping things the same

Without a doubt I’ve figured out that we grow wisdom after change

The point is storms are gonna come both if you stay or if you go.

I chose to pull the anchor and let my ship sail where the wind blows.
